Here is a copy of the Upcoming Changes to Pricing of FASO Domains email sent to each member on 1/9/2025.

We are announcing an increase in our domain pricing.

A few years ago, ICANN allowed domain registries to raise prices periodically and unfortunately our rates for .com, .net and .org domains have now risen to be higher than what we are charging for the first domain on each FASO account (which we include at half price).

We are currently charging $10.00/year ($.84/month) for the first domain (.com, .net or .org) on each FASO account (We charge $20/year for any additional domains).

Beginning of February 15th, 2025 we will be raising the price of the first domain on each account to $14/year ($1.16/month).

Most website hosting companies do not include a domain and simply charge you full price for any domain you register with them. So this still represents the best domain deal in hosting.

Remember, your first domain is added to your regular bill (whether monthly or yearly) at a steep 50% discount. This just about covers our costs and it is still less than you will pay to register your domain elsewhere, so you will retain all the benefits of having it included with your FASO account and the convenience of us being able to manage domain settings for you.

Any additional domains are charged separately and annually and the price of those domains will be raised to $28/year.

We didn't want to do this, but unfortunately, reality has forced us to make this change.

So bottom line - if you have a FASO website, we include your first domain used with the site at $14/year. Additional domains will still be $28/year.
