How do I share my upcoming events on social media?

Here are some ways you can share an upcoming event on social media sites. 

If you are working from a mobile device, you can install and use the Facebook and Twitter apps to easily share any pages from your website. On a phone, for example: 

  • go to your event page
  • click the menu button
  • click Share

All of the sharing apps installed on your phone will appear. For example, if you click Facebook, a new window will pop up with the link to the event, a space for some text and a Post button. 


If you are sharing from a regular computer, you would just need to go to the event page. Copy the url at the top in the address bar. Then paste it into the status section of the social media site where you want to share it. 


Another thing you can do is install your own Facebook and/or Twitter buttons on your event page. Create the button on the social media site. They will provide you with the html code for the button. Then paste the code into your Event listing.

Here are the sites where you can create the buttons and obtain the html code. These buttons will allow you, as well as others, to share your event. 

Once you have the button code, add it to the event page, as follows:

  • login to FASO account Control Panel 
  • click More Categories (left column)
  • click Events
  • click Edit to the right of the event
  • click HTML above Text area 
  • paste the button code in the HTML Editor 
  • click Update
  • click Save Changes
