Whether subscribing to your Newsletter or to your Artful Alerts there is an option to select both subscriptions at the same time.
When someone subscribes to your newsletter, the screen that pops up will offer the option to subscribe to your Art Alerts (YES is selected by default) along with other choices.
When someone subscribes to your Art Alerts, the screen that pops up will offer the option to subscribe to your Newsletter (YES is selected by default) along with other choices.
On either form when they choose to subscribe to both, the confirmation email they receive to verify the subscriptions will verify both subscriptions once the person clicks the verification link.
From either sign up screen if a person does not choose to subscribe to the additional option(s), the verification email will ONLY verify the one subscription.
